About Allison Cuevas
Allison Cuevas is passionate about dentistry, public health, and communications. She graduated from USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry with a Bachelor Degree in Dental Hygiene with Honors in 2012. She is a graduate from the USC Keck School of Medicine in 2014, where she received her Master Degree in Public Health (MPH) with an emphasis in Communications. As part of her graduate studies, Allison worked with Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to develop dental health educational materials; including full development of a dental coloring book, illustrated by Artist, Anahí Tellez, for elementary school children that was published and distributed to thousands of youth in the school district. During her time with the school district, Allison also assisted programs such as Big Smiles and LA Trust at dental events and educated children on how to properly brush and floss.
As a dental hygienist working in private practice since 2012, Allison decided to further her career by attending the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry of the University Of the Pacific with an advanced degree and license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice. She graduated in 2017 and established The Bright Bite in 2018. In 2018 Allison became a spokesperson for her company and created a Youtube channel, dedicated to products, services and topics related to the dental industry. In 2019, The Bright Bite officially launched as a mobile hygiene business, with the goal to create critical access to patients from the comfort of their own home.
